Keith - I keep saying the same thing to my husband about traveling to North Carolina. He has never seen the Outer Banks. I used to vacation at Cape Hatteras every year with my parents growing up. I haven't been back in a good 15 years and really want to see everything again. Do they still run the "Lost Colony" play? That made a huge impact on me when I was young and turned me on to history.

Jennifer, you could compile these trips into a book.  A popular book, now series of books, in our area is One Tank Trips, that describe all the places you can visit on one tank of gas.
