This is My Christmas Time reflection:
Family and Friends are important, don't get me wrong, but is seems like after Thanksgiving, everyone exchanges Christmas wish lists amongst our loved ones. Which makes it easier to find gifts everyone really wants, and still leaves room for fabulous surprises. And in my family although we usually all agree on a set dollar limit, the sheer volume of gift exchanges on Christmas morning is both thrilling and embarrassing
Bu in a time when so many in this world only celebrate the secular side of Christmas, it's refreshing to be seeped and simmered in a hometown area that cherishes and honors the fact that Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus, and reflects that in the love and respect given to one another.
At Christmas Eve many local residents including myself and loved ones attend evening church services or gathers to a local community area which usually includes a pageant of children re-enacting Jesus' birth. Nothing can explain that family love in the air and the warmth of the lighted candles.
The pageant is over and we all return back to the home of our loved ones and like most we gather around the dinner table and reflect on what God has done for us throughout the year. Dinner is done and its time for gifts. Wow there is nothing like circle the tree, separating the gifts and one - by - one the joy of the smiling faces began with the children.
...But at the end of the night all the joy, laughter and peace belongs to the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Happy Birthday Jesus and MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MY gift to all you activerainers
Matthew 1:18-25
Luke 2:1-14
Unlike any other baby, the one born that night in Bethlehem was unique in all of history. He was not created by a human father and mother. He had a heavenly pre-existence (John 1:1-3, 14).
