Let it happen...

So often we try to force things through.  We want things done at a certain time in a specific and it if does not happen that way we get upset, disappointed or frustrated.

How about LETTING IT HAPPEN!?!?  LETTING IT HAPPEN would mean you would be unattached to the end result.  You still would move forward in the general direction of your goal, dream or desire but you would be doing it in a much different way then most of you are doing it now.

I am just looking through some of the things I am giving my energy to and becoming more aware if the energy is being used wisely.  If not, no big deal, I just let it go and look for the good in the situation. Its a much more peaceful feeling and this really works well. More GOOD does come when you relax and feel good.

WHAT ARE YOU REALLY WANTING TO HAVE HAPPEN THAT HASN'T YET?

ARE YOU FEELING STRESS, PRESSURE AND FRUSTRATION ABOUT NOT HAVING IT YET?

Then make believe its already happened!  Give thanks for it and go forward in your day!  LET IT HAPPEN....

One of my favorite lines is ... it is what it is so accept it and move on!  Thanks and happy holidays!

In many ways, you are promoting avoidance rather than solid business analysis and development.  First, there should always be a mssion and plan that supports that mission.  Goals are then set that are the desired result.  If those results do not happen, "letting it go" achieves nothing.  The proper and effective response is to look at the factors which hindered one from achieving their goals.  These "things" could be competition, education, scheduling, organization, time management, equipment, etc.  Once one determines the factors involved, then you can correct those issues and grow.  "Letting it go" serves nothing in terms of growth and development.  As well, pride and frustration also are emotions which can createt barriers to success.  It is important to take an honest and objective view of one's practices and self in order to grow.

I would have a difficult time working with an agent or broker that I am paying thousands of dollars of my equity who has the attitude of "letting it go".  Maybe I have to sell my home and maybe you can just "let it go" if it doesn't sell in a timely manner, but it's important to me and shouldn't there be a sense of urgency on your part to get results for me?

I'd be careful when publicly stating something like this and how it can be perceived.

Chuck, nice words of wisdom and so true. If we just let things happen instead of working so hard to force things to occur we would all be better off.

Merry Christmas!

I love this blog and the relaxed attitude you are promoting. I disagree with the comment by BW. You are only promoting what works for you. If anyone reads this and believes there is no work involved in making things happen, then they are just looking for an excuse to fail. As far as your suggestions ,they make sense to me!! How many times have you or someone you know tried to force an issue only to fail. I see the value in "let it happen" BW is making too much out of a simple light hearted blog. Enjoy your views and feel free to share them. After all, nobody is forcing anyone to read them.

Happy Monday!!

Chuck, good advice.  When you try to force things through, you make mistakes!

Thanks for the comments.  BW is entitled to his own success method as am I.  I understand the other theory and I certainly set goals.  Others like to detail everything out and I don't.  I know my style works for me because I sell more homes then 97% of agents...
