Homesteps - A very interesting time???

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with WERTH REALTY

Having a tough time from the selling agent on getting signatures?  Understandably the company is very busy, and a full price offer was submitted 35 days away, as well as a closing date which has passed because of confusion from Homesteps and the delay from there processing end.  Anyone else having problems with these guys????

Speed is a must, and I understand the time delays in short sales, HUD, Foreclosures, and banks on the decisions that have to be made, but once we have approval of acceptance, these guys have been the slowest company I have dealt with so far, so pack your bags and take a vacation until you can get some help from there higher ups because they take foreverrr......................

Frustrating and thank god my clients had nothing to sell, otherwise they would of been out on the street waiting for a few more days as we still are waiting on signatures after the agreed upon closing date.  Frustrating for everyone and a lesson to learn when working with HOMESTEPS, set up a closing date and don't anticipate to close on time!~

It sounds like things have changed at Homesteps.  I sold a couple of their homes within the past year and they've all gone pretty smoothly.  Nothing though in the last 8 weeks, so perhaps it's being revamped or new people on board?   I hope you get your signatures soon and your buyers can proceed.

Two in the last month and they are killing me.  List agent told us to start due diligence and we had a knock down drag out over it because I told her due diligence does NOT start until we have SIGNATURES.  SO note for homesteps offers - add new verbiage:  due diligence period starts when escrow is opened.  Maybe that will get their butts in gear!
