Snow Snow Snow...What Snow???

For those of you around the country who have not been impacted by the winter weather.....Congratulations! You probably can find your driveway, the bank, the grocery store, etc. And have your Christmas/Hannakkuh shopping completed!

Not so for those of us in the Pacific Northwest.....especially those who have not figured out if they really wanted to drive 20 mph they should not be out in the snow and ice.

I hope to have some pictures online tomorrow of our Winter Wonderland. It truly is beautiful if you do not have to go out in it....like to buy food or have a client sign paperwork!

I'll be out there tomorrow.....armed with my husband's urban attack vehicle....a 4 wheel drive Chevy Silverado....look out Kitsap County!! I have presents and food to buy; I may even do a few "pop bys" to my unlucky friends who can't make it out of their driveway.

Snow Out....

Hi Patricia,

Yep, let's see some of those photos. It seems like it's cold almost everywhere this year.

Great on getting out tomorrow!  I'm getting shoveled out, and hope to get out too.  Chains have to go on first though! State of emergency declared here -- how about there?

No snow since Thursday last week. Our problem is temperature. We reached a high of 24 I thing for about 10 minutes. My daughter-in-law and I spent this afternoon and evening doing our shopping. My face and ears are still complaining about the cold.

Patricia,I had a home inspection on a repo house.

  • We couldn't see the roof under 10 inches of snow...
  • Couldn't turn on the water...
  • Lucky it was pass/fail on this as-is property...

Be safe!!!

Patricia, I am on the other side of the state and feel your pain!  We have almost 3 feet of snow. Seriously, if my 2 1/2 year old is on our walkway that has been shoveled, I can't see her! It is times like this when I am glad that my office is in my house.

Make sure that you take it slow and look out for the crazy people that are in a hurry to get back to their houses!

I'm headed into the snow on Wednesday. We're hauling emergency rations and blankets on our lengthy journey to a family Christmas in the mountains.

Here in South Carolina, we just don't understand your predicament - thankfully.  It is cold here but no snow.  Be safe and Merry Christmas.

Pat, hubby and I braved the snow and crazy drivers on Monday. Silverdale was a zoo, and Safeway on McWilliams in Bremerton had bare produce shelves. Made me happy I had stocked up in anticipation for the snow and Christmas dinners! A couple of 19year old boys had a hankering for hot dogs and pizza after building ice caves and since hubby and I were out and about anyway . . . .  gotta love those boys!

Hi Pat,

Good luck with getting out.  It's great here in Georgia, but I remember the snow days when I lived in Kansas.

Pat,

I remember that snow in the mountains of Virginia. Here in Northwest Florida we do not get snow thank goodness but it does dip into the 20s this time of year. Merry Christmas and stay warm!
