PALM BEACH GARDENS HOME PRICES CONTINUE SLIDE IN NOVEMBER REACHING 2003 PRICE LEVELS

Prices of single family homes and condos in Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach and throughout Palm Beach County continued their steep decline in November recording a 28 percent decline since the beginning of the year.

The median single family home in Palm Beach County sold for $247,400 in November, according to statistics released by the Florida Association of Realtors.  That is 28 percent lower than the price achieved in January 2008 which was $343,200.   The median price reflects a midpoint number with half the homes selling at higher prices and half selling at lower prices.

And it bring the median price level back to about October, 2003. 

For condos, the median price decline is about 22 percent since January with the midpoint price for a condo in Palm Beach County now $123,900.

Sellers in most communities through the area are feeling price pinches and steep competition from loads of homes on the market.  There are more than 500 homes for sale in Palm Beach Gardens leading country club communities of Frenchmans Reserve, Mirasol, BallenIsles, Ironhorse Country Club and Ibis Country Club.  And all of these communities have short sales and/or foreclosures. 

You can get a three bedroom, two bath single family home in BallenIsles today for just $230,000. or a townhouse in Ibis Country Club for $165,000.
