White Out

Sorry about this, but you’ll just have to indulge me for a post.  The snow keeps falling.  The snow keeps falling.  The snow keeps falling.  The snow keeps falling.  The snow keeps falling.  The snow keeps falling.  The snow keeps falling. (Note to reader:  I did not use cut and paste.  Each letter was meticulously typed)

This is a magical early season.  Magical, you say, isn’t that a bit hyperbolic?  No its not.  I say magical because the snow keeps falling but the thermometer doesn’t.  Sure we had a cold snap last week, but right now the temperature is perfect and the snow keeps falling.  You so need to be here.  The skiing is great.

Now there is also one other thing that is falling, or at least not rising.  And that is the prices on Vail Real Estate.  There are deals here people.  I’m not talking market collapse.  That wouldn’t make Vail attractive to you.  I’m talking price stabilization and motivated sellers.  I’m also talking inventory.  And that is the key.

In the past you, the buyer, would have to search and search to find a mediocre property.  Now you have your choice of perfect ski homes.  And they are priced right.  There are bargains at all price points.

I’ve been speaking to people much smarter than myself and they tell me NOW is the perfect time to jump into the Vail market.  They truly believe we have reached the bottom of the trough and it will only go up from here.

Give me a call and we can discuss what you are looking for, and I know we’ll be able to find you a choice of properties.  970-331-5821-Mark

OK, so when the snow kept falling in Vail, the storm finally BLEW past Estes Park on its way to the Midwest!  Estes Park, just over the hill from Vail is different in the fact that we have no downhill ski area, however, we are similar in market conditions, with deals to be had yet no market collapse.  There is going to be a unique opportunity while the interest rates are SO low, and the sellers are motivated!  I agree with Mark, now it the time to buy mountain property!  Lisa VonBargen, The Yellow Mailbox Real Estate Services, Estes Park, Colorado

Thanks Lisa.  I like your phrase that that there are "deals to be had, yet no market collapse."  It is an interesting situation right now here in Vail and I'm sure in Estes Park.  Some of the sellers don't need to sell, so their prices will remain steady.  But of course there are a small number of others who do need to sell.  And that is a unique situation for Mountain Real Estate.

Vail's inventory is high right now, which insures that a buyer will be able to find just what they are looking for in a Vail Ski Home, or Estes Park.
