Smithville Realtor Works Toward Skatepark for Smithville, Missouri

Real Estate Agent with North Kansas City Real Estate, Reece and Nichols Residential

My hat is off to Sherri Cole, a fellow Reece and Nichols REALTOR® in Smithville, Missouri.

Sherri and her husband have been working diligently to bring a Skate Park to small town Smithville, Missouri.

With the media reporting that more and more youth sitting in front of the television munching on junk food and packing on the pounds Sherri says, "Skateparks are so much safer than the streets and more fun. Kids need places to hang out and physical activities to do. We have enough couch potatoes."

Being a REALTOR® can keep us on our toes 24/7 but yet Sherri finds the time to support this community cause.

The Coles organized an E-Bay auction of custom skateboard decks designed by Kansas City area tattoo artists with the proceeds going to begin construction of the Smithville Skate Park.

Fran it is good to read about people giving back in stead of just taking.  Some times you have to do things just because it is the right thing to do.

Well George, this is a small town with a large lake (Smithville Lake)  The lake is the main reason the town sees any traffic.  The kids in this town probably   need something like this to keep them busy.

Thanks for stopping by. :)
