If you think that today's economy is not effecting you, then just go look at the current value of your home. I get an email from Zillow, not that its the most accurate, but its something to look at to see where my house value stands. Zillow doesn't include all of the upgrades, new basement, ect that I've put into the house. I can look at this information and it doesn't bother me as most other people because I paid my house off years ago.

I must admit that I agree with you. These emails, the "Zillow Home Report" can be painful to receive.
We've recently added nearby similar listings and nearby similar sales to the email so it's not just a monthly poke in the eye about your home's declining value. But it's still a bummer to receive.
Greg: I agree with Spencer, those Reports are a sore sight! Especially if you are thinking/needing to sell your home in the near future. I do enjoy looking on Zillow and staying informed on what the rest of the local real estate market is doing in the Fort Rucker area. Congrats on paying off your home!
And they will continue until we have a postive jobs report for a least a year or more.
