What 7 things about me would surprise most people?
1. I owned and rode a Harley Davidson Sportster from several years. Kinda hard when one is short (under 5 feet tall). It was a brand new 1976 Sportster. Dumped it once! No real damage to me thankfully.
2. I was married first while still in college. We were married for 20 years when he was tragically killed in a car crash. Sorry, I know this is a downer but this is a big part of who I am. We were very happy and I still miss him 12 years later. But that event changed my outlook completely. One can go for a drive and never come back. Better live well everyday. Strangely, I have very little fear of anything and also odd - I am funnier now than before. Rick was truly one of the funniest people you would ever meet and somewhat I think that his humor and storytelling ability was passed to me.
3. I am one of the lucky few who have had 2 great marriages to equally wonderful, loving men. My second husband, Steve is absolutely the kindest person I have ever known (and he is pretty too).
4. My masters degree is in counseling and I feel that I use my education and skills more in real estate practice than where I was offically employed as a counselor.
5. My dad was a Civil Engineer and because of his job we moved just about every 2 years back and forth because Johnson City, Tennessee and Hollywood, Florida. We moved a total of 4 times while I was in elementary and junior high school. I hated it!
6. I am one of 5 siblings and my mother had NO GRANDCHILDREN until last year when my sister (36 years old) had a baby girl. Most people find that almost unbelieveable. Gianna will be spolied by all her aunts and uncles.
7. I am the oldest of my siblings and really the mother to the others now. Not sure I like the job!
