BPO Colorado Style on Christmas Day-Series Post #5

A continuing series on a Christmas Day BPO turned into Mountain scenic drive...

After leaving Rollinsville, I continued north on Hwy 119 to the Town of Nederland, Colorado.  Nederland is base camp for my two girls favorite Ski destination, Eldora Mountain Resort.   http://www.eldora.com/.   Our girls have taken ski/snowboard lessons here last year and will start again in Jan. 09.  Great family oriented ski mountain, excellent classes and instructors.  It's not a "world class" double black diamond resort, but it's 45 minutes from our house, which makes for great "drop the kids at school and hit the fresh powder" type mornings for my wife and I!

While at Nederland I had coffee in a converted Railroad car, took a look at the Nederland mining museaum http://www.nederlandmuseums.org/, and enjoyed a quick visit to Barr lake resevoir.   Here are a few pix of the town:

Not a real person
San Diego, CA

I went there most recently in 1999. Doesn't look like things have changed much -- LOL.

Best wishes for health, happiness, peace, and prosperity in 2009.
