I read Mirela Monte's post of the Cutest Pet Contest which was started by Peter Olsen's thoughts of having a Cutest Dog Contest
Not quite sure of the rules, but here is my entry, of which I also added to Mirela and Peter's posts.
Introducing YooHoo
Anyone who knows me, knows that I rescue dogs and cats and find them permanent homes.
YooHoo, (named because of her obvious chocolate coloring) with 4 siblings, were rescued in Staten Island, where their mother was put down due to the over-crowded shelters. We heard of what happened to the mother and that the litter was next on the list at the kill-shelter, so we immediately pulled them all.
YooHoo's photo on the left, is on our collection canisters.
We had taken her for a ride a few times in the boat, where she ran around like a puppy would. So, I decided to put her in the fish storage cooler, which created this adorable photo of her that I called the "catch of the day"...
We very carefully screen potential adopters. After about six-weeks of caring for YooHoo, a wonderful/permanent home was found.
We consider all the dogs & cats who come through our rescue/home, as our pets...even if it's only temporary.
When we rescue, we take them in, knowing that they may stay with us permanently!
Please note: I have started a new group, Active Rain Animal Rescue - please consider joining
