Interest rates have still been generally holding steady at around the 6% to 6.5% mark for a 30 year fixed mortgage. They vary some from week to week but generally are bouncing right in that neighborhood.
The median price for homes sold in the Joplin area is starting to go up which tells me that perhaps some of that inventory that's been out there for a while is starting to sell. The number of houses sold is on the way up as well but that's typical for the spring time.
All in all the market here is in good condition but still tends to lean toward the buyer side of the market. Not strong enough that prices are going down here but just enough that buyers can do some negotiating.
