Here are the daily thoughts on floating or locking if you are asked by your clients.

As always - consult your favorite mortgage professional who will be able to offer the best advice for YOUR unique situation

Another no news full trading day.  As 2008 comes to a close with a not very bright outlook for 2009, bond markets are attempting another break above multi year highs & mortgage rate lows.

Technically speaking - the FNMA 4.5% 30 year bond is currently bumping up against the 2008 closing high.  The bond still in the lower overbought range so although any rally will be short - the possibility of gaining ground is good..

I am recommending to

  LOCK your mortgage rate.
