By
Real Estate Agent with Fathom Realty

The Kodak company is introducing a new bridge camera with HD for video.  The lens will be a 26 mm with an impossibly long zoom of 24x.  Don't know much more about it at the moment but I do love a long telephoto lens.  This should be great for most inside shots and outside shots as well.

Special features of the new digital camera KODAK Of z980:

Photo-sensor 12 [MP]

The firm function of Kodak "clever survey", which analyzes subject and which establishes the parameters of survey so that the outstanding photographs would be obtained always;

The 24- multiple zoom lens SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON with the optical stabilization of image and a minimum focal length of 26 mm;

Photo- and video in HD;
3 inch LCD screen
Free handle for the vertical survey with the additional release button;
"Hot shoe"

Will enter Z980 into sale in spring 2009 g. on the recommended retail price of 399,99 US dollars.

I saw this one too.  I think it looks like a pretty good camera.  dpreview just posted its review of the Panasonic G1 which I think might become a pretty good camera for real estate once the 7mm (14mm equivalent) lens becomes available.  To me, the G1 looks and may even act like your FZ18, but with interchangeable lenses.

The G1 in the Panasonic group seems to be a love it or hate it camera.  Personally I don't do the last five percent of a cameras ability so it most cameras will work for me or I have learned to work around them.  The lack of lens' for the G1 seems to be what will hurt it most.  Panasonic has a habit of leaving people in the lurch like that.  They have a perfectly good wide angle adaptor lens for their other bridge cameras but didn't make an adaptor to make it fit the FZ 18 so I had to go outside and find a workaround.
