TIP # 5: 2008 TAX LETTER TO SEND TO CLOSED CLIENTS (A R & D FOR YOU)

By
Education & Training with REALTOR & CEO The 3B Method Seminars

TIP # 5 - If you are a HUD state send a nice letter to all of your sellers that closed in 2008 with a copy of the HUD as a reminder to give to the accountant come tax time! A great mailing piece for you to send out prior to January 5th! I have copies of the text I used on my site for you to R&D! (Rip off and Duplicate) - If you are not a HUD state send any tax reminders out that are important to any buyer or seller for the transaction they had!

To make life easy for you please feel free to R & D

(RIP OFF AND DUPLICATE)

1) Copy and Paste it to your letter head

2) Tweak it to your style

3) Get a copy of each HUD you closed on 2008

4) Enclose several business cards

5) MAIL IT~!

I HOPE THIS LETTER HELPS YOU!

I know that you have heard the cliche "We offer service after the sale." With us, it is not a cliche - it is the BASE of our business. One of the things I have always done is I have kept a copy of ALL important financial documents that relate to every transaction in which I am involved.

Now, that TAX TIME is nearly here, it occurs to me that you may need a copy of your CLOSING STATEMENT. This document probably has some important information on it what will assist you in preparing your TAX RETURNS and, hopefully, will save you a little money.

Of course, if you have any specific questions about taxes, be sure to call your ACCOUNTANT, but for REAL ESTATE questions you can always reach me! Several business cards are enclosed.

Thank you again for your business in 2008! I look forward to serving you again and again!

Your REALTOR,

Awesome!

As I have just completed my first year in Real Estate I wasn't sure how this was done. Now I have a template.  I had a chance to visit your website and am following you on Twitter. Thanks for the way you share what your successes are so freely!

Thanks for the reminder, Liz. It is always good to see a fresh approach to the Tax Letter. I usually do this for my clients, as well as for the people who buy my listings... unless their agent is great or a good friend. Some of them even tell others I sold them the house over time as many agents just disappear. Being in the business several decades helps with this one!

Love the letter, thanks for sharing.  Also Pat had a great idea on sending it to the people who buy our listings.  If their agent does, oh well.  If their agent doesn't, you know they will remember you and chances are they will tell their friends and family.

Liz, this is an excellent idea!  Any possible way to reach out to past customers (via holiday cards, personal newsletters, etc.) is worth doing, especially with something that will actually HELP them!  They'll remember you for being there to guide them and not just terminating the relationship after you've closed.  Well done!

Melinda I have to agree with you. I've found out that I stay more in touch with the buyers with agents on my listings than their agent does.
