Housing boom or bust

Columbus, Georgia has been somewhat insulated from the recent "bust" of the economy. Even with that fact, it's plain math to calculate that a forty percent drop in sales leads to a forty percent drop in realtors who have relied on the profession for their livelihood. I'm not a doomsayer but a realist. Any comments??
