Daniel Boone did it..can you?

Could you live off grid, without all the extras from electric can openers to maine moose, maine outdoor livingdishwashers? Grow your own produce and meat? Live truely green, without much of a carbon foot print? Composting toilet, soft rain water collected and stored or drawing water from a hand dug well or stream? I consider (or shall I say considered?) myself an outdoorsy kind of a gal....I went camping frequently ---in a tent--not a camper!! Over the years, now I long for a hot shower after 1.5 days, and don't like to be away from my kitties that long.  So, maybe I have changed a bit, huh?

Kristen..you are growing more comfortable with a few creature comforts...hot long shower makes you feel like a whole new woman.  You can live off grid and have that..gas hot water heater or coils in your woodstove that heat your domestic water or solar. Heat pumps from well water or air pretty neat too.  You may have graduated in the $300,000 land cruiser to "go camping"now!
