A Day of Silence In My Blogosphere..Why It's Important to Me! April 30th, 2007

As I travel through the blogosphere I notice as time goes on I share more of myself, things and thoughts that might have been tucked away, things that I never thought I would have to face.  My heart and my mind are so open and like a sponge, I absorb what the writer is feeling.  Of course not on the same level but it is as if they are my extended family, I personally know them,  after-all, I read about them everyday.  Indeed they are my extended family.

In my mind the writing is so intense and incredible and the comments are just as compelling, you hope and pray that it's not true it's just a story and can't wait for the happy ending and it turns out to be reality.

Harsh Cold Reality, the kind we do not want to think too much about. Yes I know the media does a good job reporting it....or do they?

I have read many thought provoking posts right here that has truly inspired me and urges me to take action.

For all of you THANK YOU!

What we post is online forever.......Awareness is the key!  With 27, 527 members we are strong, we are loud and Powerful.

We can make a difference One Voice at a time!

My heart is heavy and my mind, well it's everywhere! For me I have to retreat.

April 30th I will join in with a day of silence.  No blogging, no reading and no commenting for me.

I will also be sure to respect this humble request for silence.  It's a small respect we can pay.

Midori,

I'm honored that you included my post on your list. Thank you.   I know what you mean by being open like  a sponge, absorbing it all.  We're touched by the words of people...real people from all over the country...we see things through their eyes. Things we might not have seen and felt but for this forum and their words.

Thank you Midori.

Christy-Yes, I agree that is why I put Jeff Turner's post in, something so simple and positive.  Also my feeling is it's just not about the one horrible tragedy there are several tragedies that goes on everyday and I agree I feel fortunate that I am able to still appreciate the little things.  I appreciate you stopping by!

Alecia-Yes, I think it is quite appropriate and its not just about one of the events it is all of them.  For me I need to mourn and then move forward.  While there is so much in the the world to be grateful for we need to work on what is very wrong.

Theresa-Your post summed it up and yes it did move me, it reminded me I am never alone.  Thank you so much for the compliment and for the kinds words.
