Joe, for years it has been called the Shanghai Parade. The crowd lines the street and as people drive and walk through dressed up in their own wacky costume and walk with many others in this unique parade.

There is a lot people that look forward to coming for this event then go to the local cafe or coffee shop for hot chocolate and visit and I have seen it snowing on the parade and the leader (man) walks through in just a diaper.  He has been doing this for years and if its cold and snowing he's still there.

I don't know where the Shanghai came from but I know it is a China thing.  Thanks for asking.
