Yearly Goal setting time

By

It is that time of year again.  Time to set goals.  Of course you want the best things to happen for you but do you actually write your goals down?

Writing down your goals is the best thing a person can do to make progress on attaining their goals.  This past year, despite the market, I still increased my number of inspections by 39$ over 2007.  If the market was better I probably would have attained my goal of 50% growth.

Now I need to decide goals for this year and to decide what I will do to attain it.  I already know what worked for me in 2007 because I paid attention and took notes on the results of the action steps I took.

I hope you take steps toward success

Jim. I agree. There's got to be a system. Writing down is the first step. Thank you for sharing your experiences and best of luck in 09!

So you kept track. Excellent. Too many people fail to track what they do and the results of their actions. Then they try to create goals for the new year without a clue as to what might be possible or realizable.

I definitly keep track.  Knowing which efforts produce positive results is similar to following a road map.  If the mile markers are not going in the correct directiona then you need to go down a different road or direction.  After you have been "down a road" a bit you should check to see if your going the right direction and remember or write down if it is the correct road or not.

This prevents you from getting lost the next time you are in that area.  Going down the wrong road wastes time and gasoline(marketing dollars).

Thanks Russel
