Did you have the opportunity to listen to Barack Obama's radio address? Or perhaps any of the radio addresses in the last month? I thought this week's address was solid compared to the previous address in encouraging investment recovery plan. Using strategic spending with clear oversight on how the funds are spent. Listen further here.
He also talks about direct tax relief which I was not clear involved. Anyway I was hoping to hear what public opinion was on this speech. I have felt this new presidency to be much different in the respect of how there appears to be this "support drive" (okay I am going to be brave and call it that) that I have not seen in recent elected presidencies. Perhaps it's our technology today but I can not recall any similar effort to draw momentum and collaborative support. I thought about Ross Perot and his efforts years back with his paid TV time to show graphs and present his answer to our energy concerns. There was this sense then of someone trying to get people to join this "drive" to change America and our traditional government. Encouraging us that this would be a new government operating outside the box.
I am feeling hopeful that this is something positive coming this way. What's your take?
