Barack Obama's Jan 3rd radio address. Did you listen? Thought I share it here.

Did you have the opportunity to listen to Barack Obama's radio address?  Or perhaps any of the radio addresses in the last month? I thought this week's address was solid compared to the previous address in encouraging investment recovery plan.  Using strategic spending with clear oversight on how the funds are spent. Listen further here.

He also talks about direct tax relief which I was not clear involved.  Anyway I was hoping to hear what public opinion was on this speech.  I have felt this new presidency to be much different in the respect of how there appears to be this "support drive" (okay I am going to be brave and call it that) that I have not seen in recent elected presidencies.  Perhaps it's our technology today but I can not recall any similar effort to draw momentum and collaborative support.  I thought about Ross Perot and his efforts years back with his paid TV time to show graphs and present his answer to our energy concerns.  There was this sense then of someone trying to get people to join this "drive" to change America and our traditional government.  Encouraging us that this would be a new government operating outside the box.

I am feeling hopeful that this is something positive coming this way.   What's your take?

Struggling to search for Avon Lake, Avon, North Ridgeville, Sheffield Lake and Sheffield Village Homes?  Need some easier way to do it on the go?  Trulia
and Zillow are great programs however they are not local.  They are not current to activity at the minute and projections on values of homes are questionable based on global measures and not having local information as a local Realtor would.  So what to do? Add my search engine to your mobile devise or  computer and get direct and current home sales, open houses, know when a home is off the market and sold right away and find similar homes in the area.  The search engine has GPS function that you can activate on your phone  and with that it will give you comparables while you are in the driveway of that dream home.  Now how cool is that?

Try it.   http://stanleystepak.hanna2go.com

I am just hoping that the "new era" starting on Jan 20th if nothing else, raises consumer confidence, and they get out there and start buying!

I have an open mind on this. He seems to be reaching out to all sides in the hope of finding commonality. This is a good thing. I hope it works. Can it really get much worse? ...plus he plays basketball.

This guy is different from anybody we've had in the White House.  He deserves a chance and some minimal level of cooperation.  if he fails, everybody loses, even his foes.  If he succeeds, maybe the pain will be minimized and the recession shortened.

Pat - I could not agree more.  Hoping this would help the housing market and business.

Kent - Love your basketball comment.  Hopefully no one will point out dancing skills.

Eric - Yes we need to see where this takes us.  I am feeling positive at this point thinking he will create some positive momentum and pull strong knowledgeable people in his corner that can help in him making sound decisions.

Though I will never agree with him in his political beliefs, he is the right person for the job at this time in our history as we have over 50 percent of the population that worship him.....not just believe or vote for him.  I have never seen this in my 50 years.  What this has the great potential to do is to bring massive consumer confidence in a very short period of time.  I truly think you will see a massive change in 90 days in consumer confidence.  I also believe that his Messiah like following will dwindle with time and will fall in line with most other democratic presidents in history; but, the key is the next 12 months and he has my backing.  Go get 'em Obama.
