Verify Everyone You Do Business With.

My agents are no longer to approve a showing without verification of active license with the state.

In today's real estate world we have run into some ruthless people.  I want to help you avoid this.  Any time you have a contractor, REALTOR®, Brokerage or any business that is suppose to be licensed through the State of Michigan, please use this tool.  If you from a different state, look at your state website for a similiar link.

State of Michigan License and Verification On-line Service.

A licensed real estate agent must be with a brokerage.  If the license is with a school, the licensed person is usually not able to conduct real estate business.  The license is in escrow.  Always check the real estate agents license and the business / brokers license.

I had another agent call to set up a shouwing on a home I have listed.  Guess what?  The license was "lasped".  Not legal as a real estate agent to show the home.

This is getting so common, please verifiy everyone you do business with!!!

I can't tell you how much I like this post.  The issue raised by you is so timely and real.  You can't be careful enough in your business dealings.

Yeah that is so true.  Jue schmo can make up a real estate company and without any verification he gets the combo and there he is at work, cleaning out the sellers for what they got.  Very dangerous!

What really sad, is how many people are saying they are agents and list property.  I wouldn't think we would be showing those properties becasue they couldn't make into the MLS.  I hope.
