Are Realty Companies Still taking Caravans to Brokers Opens?

We still do it every Wednesday morning.

We do this at every office meeting on Mondays when we are finished and go to any that are on the list. Sometimes there's only one, and sometimes there is a handful. This is in addition to the viewings every week at the MLS board office tours. Some of our agents have put a potential listing in the mix that could have gone to any one of the other agents the client was interviewing. They choose our office/realtor since so many of us showed up and were committed to it as a team. He (the client) stood out on the front porch and said that he did not even hear back from the others and was extremely impressed with our agent for bringing the office over that the listing was given right then and there. Our company just started doing this again and out clients are loving it and we have actually sold a listing internal after the last tour.

Hi Endea, my company very strongly suggests we add brokers opens to our strategy for keeping on top of the inventory in our markets. I agree with that strategy 100 percent. One thing I do that is different than just supporting my office mates' listings: I scan a list of what's open every Tuesday (that's when we do it here in NE Ohio) and I look for 1) homes my clients/buyers might want to see and 2) agents from other brokerages I have not met. I like the networking aspect of brokers opens and feel that getting to know other agents helps them know me too; and then they just might think of me when they are looking for listings to show. I have a half written post on this for my 'outside AR' blog and you have just nudged me into finishing it ty lol

Some agents in our office just started doing this again a few months ago.  I haven't joined in yet.  To have your listing shown, you have to go at least once a month to the others on the caravan Tuesday.
