I can't believe that's the same dog!!!

We just welcomed two puppies to our family. Luckily, they're toy poodles and they won't grow up to be quite the size of your "puppy", which is a good thing considering we now have 6, yes SIX, dogs in our family.

Sometimes it's hard to remember those little puppies that grew up so fast!  But they are just as precious as big doggies, too!  Enjoyed your pictures!  Have a great day!

WOW after I got to Leesa's comment I had to laugh for 5 minutes before I could respond to anyone.

Yes that is my hubby Donald with the same puppy.  His name is Glenfiddich, but we call him Glen.

His mom was a great dane... we also met her at the pound, she had nine pups.  Donald was torn, he wanted a male and he wanted one of the black ones... turns out all the black ones were female.  So we got scooby doo's cousin and named him Glen.   Donald found these pups when they were about two weeks old and he went after work EVERY day the pound was open to visit, take the mom special treats and better food and to hold and pet his puppy.  It was so hard to just bring home the one.  The vet thinks his dad might be a german sheppard because of how he looked as a pup and the sable color is begining to now show back up on his tail, so it could come back as he gets older.  None the less, he is our mut and we love him.  He's about a 115 pounds now.

We also have a black lab mix who's 1 who was a stray we took in when she was 7 months old and wandered to my real estate office.  We named her Laney after Lane Realty.  This is the best most recent photo of Glen.  He was about 10 months old here.  Laney is about 85 pounds and you can see he just towers over her.

The three cats we had have all adapted quite well.  We did have to add one new litter box after we moved the puppies in because the stress of it caused our 4 year old cat to piddle on the bathroom rug.  I thought she might have a UTI, but the vet suggested after she tested okay to try a "safe" place litter box in the bathroom, so that worked out fine.  This is actually the first time in my life I have owned a dog.  I did babysit my brother's lab for 4 months one year a few years back because his company transfered him and it was 4 months before he could move and he was gone from home 16 hours a day with travel and work so I kept her until he got to move.

Thanks for commenting.  I just adore my puppies and my sweet husband who went to get a dog after I cried when the pedigree commercial with the poor puppies who never did anything wrong were all in the pound.

And by the way... all of my cats are rescued also.  There's too many out there for us to not take in ones that need a home.
