There’s a new fried chicken chain in Greenville SC and expansion in Greer SC. The new fried chicken chain that you probably haven’t heard about before is Pollo Campero. Pollo Campero is the recent addition to the Cherrydale area and features various fried chicken with a Latino flavor. Some of its specialty items include Peruvian grilled chicken, yucca fries and sweet plantains. The firm plans to add five more stores between Greenville and Charlotte, stating that there is nothing like it in the area. The chain was originally Guatemalan, and founded in 1971, however it now has 290 restaurants around the world.
Despite troubled economic times, a new Suzuki dealership will continue their plans to open outside Greer on Wade Hampton Boulevard by the spring of 2009. The project has been planned for two years and although the automotive industry is off 40%, they hope to see a recovery this year. The eastern portion of Wade Hampton outside of Greer, also known as Highway 29, has seen several new dealerships arrive in the last few years and is a smaller version of the Motor Mile on Laurens Road in Greenville.
