Hi all I hope 2009 is going great for you and continues to only get better.
Well, as the title says I had no idea that changing firms was such a ROYAL PITA!!! Due to economic reasons the firm I joined had to shut down,,BUMMER.
Well I interviewed several of the top firms in the area and was mostley told, Sorry we don't have time to train a "new" broker. Eventually I ended at a nearby Coldwell Banker. Great people !!
With that settled on to the business of switching over, 1st notify the Real Estate Commission, then the local board, then the Dept of Revenue (lovely people to deal with), local MLS (also lovely people to deal with). NAR. State Association of Realtors, website host admin, State forms Admin. Contact Mgmt Admin and I still haven't mentioned all of my contacts both personel and business. It's not like I can walk out my front door and yell it to the world and make it right, besides my subdivision will not let me post a sign that I have changed FIRMS. JEEZ LOUISE!!! WADDAYA DO!
The Coldwell Banked Firm that I setteled on has been very accommodating, but you know how it feels to be the new kid on the block and in this business ya have to prove yourself not to your clients but also to your peers.
ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS, NEED A LITTLE HELP HERE. ahhh jeez 'scuse me i gotta go order new BIZ CARDS!!!
Now what else have I FORGOTTEN !!
