As most of us refer 3rd party contractors to our clients, wouldn't it be a good idea if we used them ourselves first to see if they are reliable and quality professionals? I have begun to look around my house to see what sorts of things could be done and have had several of the people I have referred out come and finish these projects. It has been a great way to know and see their work first hand. It also builds a relationship that helps my business. They refer me and I refer them. Just think, you are marketing yourself by getting some things done around the house and you are able to know that they will be an asset to your staging business.

Letitia, I have been trying to do the same thing. I hate the thought of referring someone that I can't vouch for their work. In fact I am just about ready to contact a person to drywall a spot form me and to do a little painting.

Letitia: I agree. I always try to use the people I recommend first. Sometimes it is not possible, but I always check references and hopefully there is at least one professional Interior Designer, Stager or Real Estate Agent I can call to check on their work.
