Let me take you step by step in buying a home. The first thing you need to do is to see if you can qualify for a mortgage. You can call any mortgage company or bank and let them know that you are thinking of buying a home. They will ask you some questions and sometimes prequalify you right over the phone. If you need some help with that notify an agent and he or she will help you. Next after you qualify select an agent that you want to work with and he or she will begin helping you find a home. There is no cost to you because the agent is paid by the sellers agent at the time of closing. Once you find a home you need to retain a lawyer . The lawyer will make sure the everything that needs to be done will be taken care of by him and his office. From there the agent takes over. The agent will notify the mortgage company and the lawyer that you purchased a home. The agent will ask you if you want a home inspection and if you do she or he will be there when the home inspector arrives at the home. If any issues arises the agent will talk to you about it.
