Why can't I stage my own home?

A professional Home Stager is trained to prepare a home for sale that appeals to most buyers. We create focal points, enhance the homes best selling points and create spaces that buyers can make an emotional connection to. A home seller can try to stage their home on their own by reading books, watching TV shows and buying how to guides. This usually causes more stress on the seller and takes a lot of time and trial and error. A professional home stager is trained to objectively view your home and has the experience to prepare your home for showings that appeals to most buyers.

Won't staging cost me a lot of money?

Staging will cost far less than your first price reduction. Research shows that a staged home sells 50% faster and for more money than a home that is not staged. We work with items you already have and add a few accessories within your budget.

Do I need to stage my vacant home?

YES! An empty home is cold and uninviting to buyers. Some rooms may even be confusing to buyers as to the function of the room. By staging a vacant home we create a warm and inviting space and give purpose to each room. Buyers are more likely to have an emotional connection to a staged home than an empty house.

Hi Eric- My clients are pleasantly shocked at how inexpensive staging is. The staging shows on tv give the impression that it will cost them thousands of dollars. I have staged many homes for under $500. It just depends on how much work needs to be done.

Hi Margaret- The list can go on and on. It was hard to choose just a few. I worked with a Realtor recently to stage a condo she had listed. She was shocked at how much work we do even before the actual staging and the follow up work I do.

Hi Mary- That is the number one thing Realtor's are thankful for. Sometimes it helps hearing it from more than one person that they need to do some work. Sometimes a little soap and water will do the trick too.

I have a 76y/o client, her children were telling her she had to replace all the kitchen cabinets( ten years old). I was able to give them a good cleaning, a few minor scratch repairs, and changed the hardware. They looked brand new.

Good post and very true. I work with a local stager who is amazing. Every single home that we have professionally staged had as sold within 3 months and in some cases had multiple offers.

In addition sometimes home owners tend to listen to stagers a little better, especially when it comes to putting away those precious collectables or personalized items that the homeowner loves, but provides little to no value to potential Buyers.

Hi Christine, I just staged a condo this morning. The client is 76-years-old. While her home was very neat and clean, she had a lot of items that her grandchildren had given to her that she proudly displayed. I needed her to remove these items. With a little coaxing we were able to remove them. She was very pleased to see the end results.
