My personal take on reality and the economy.

By
Real Estate Agent with Blue Ridge Properties

I was recently reading a book and came across something That really didn't exacly tie with REAL ESTATE but then I begin to think...... HHHHMMMM HOW CAN I APPLY THIS TO MY WORK and Life. Agents and Activerainers.... I WOULD LOVE YOUR INSIGHT ON THIS AS WELL.

I had to ask myself this question, with all the bad news about the housing market and economy day after day there seems to be no end in sight right now anywhere. So as an agent  I asked myself "How can I find satifaction in staying in this career when everything seems stacked against us as agents right now." and we all know "you are your source of income."

What needs to happen in order for you or me to feel good about being an agent again....I think sometimes its as simple as our own choices.

Instead of looking for "bail out or rescue plan" by someone else. Take control and make it happen. Find away to market and sell that home. work a little harder, go the extra mile. Don't just set back and get slammed with negative thoughts day after day. Make the choice and use this market to you and your clients advantage.

Think about where you are, where you want to be and HOW to get there. WE ARE WHERE WE CHOOSE TO BE.

WE LIVE IN AMERICA RIGHT... WE CAN ALWAYS MAKE A DIFFERENT CHOICE.

 A BEAUTIFUL THING......

Linda,

I wholeheartedly agree.  It is so tiring to hear all the negative comments.  This is my business, my life, and what I love doing on a daily basis.  So, every morning, I state my affirmations, believe in myself, our community, and our business.  Those of us that hang in there through the tough times will be the successful Realtors.  My phone hasn't stopped ringing since the New Year.  2009 will be more than fine.  Thanks for your great thoughts.

We all have to take more responsibility for our selves.  Those that get bailed out will just fall harder later.

The past week was a very difficult time in which I made some decisions, put them into action and now I will hope for the best... from large cities to small towns we are all feeling the housing market crash. I hope better times come because there is not much else I can cut from the budget or add to the mix of what helps sell a property.
