Accommodators it is Real Estate Exchange Services, Inc.'s responsibility to counsel with the exchanger, structure the exchange, prepare the documentation, coordinate the closing (for the exchange portion of the transaction) and maintain preparation for IRS audit.

Lucas -- in California the term accomodator has been replaced by Qualified Intermediary to properly assist those participating in a 1031 exchange.
Hi Lucas, We use the term Intermediary here in NM as well. Same thing only different I suppose. Everybody has their role in a 1031 Exchange.
When it comes to taxes, all we know is, whatever you call them, pay them! Have a great day!
We were quite successful with 1031 exchanges before the crash but now, NOTHING. Wonder why?

Lucas, I am wondering if the 1031 tax exchanges have slowed down this year with the the capital gains rate increasing on New Years Day and beyond. Are people taking their money and running?
