Our 4th quarter market reports came out this week and they were abysmal.  The 1st quarter of 2009 will be way worse than the 4th quarter of 2008 because the financial breakdown has happened in the last couple of months.  Your report reminded me of our reports from this past week.

This area is normally slower than the other 4 large cities in the county.  I hope that your market will start to improve soon and all of this will be behind all of us.

Don,  Our county is the most dismal in Northern Virginia.  We were growing rapidly, construction workers bought homes and now the reversal has happened and our foreclosure rate is out the roof,  Karen

Foreclosures and REO's will continue to be a problem for a little while.  This is going to have a downside to home pricing.  I am believing that the market is going rebound and we will all be in better shape by the end of 2009.
