My first blog ever

By
Real Estate Agent with Mariner Realty

I am new to this, but I am old to real estate.  Give me some love for trying new things. Send me a comment about you market area.  Are things looking up?  Lake Conroe is very active. My goal for 2009 is to learn more about getting prospects from the internet.  I would appreciate referrals.

Hey Welcome Marcia

Lots to see and do... If you have a Homes and Land near you... ask your publisher to help you with internet things. If they don't know, they should. It's tough going at first learning new things... but Henry Ford said it best ... paraphrasing... you grow old as soon as you stop learning new things. Good luck growing young!

Market in Lanc. PA is way down... same as everywhere there is media sowing the seeds of fear. Turn off the news, you keep learning technology and don't miss the younger buyers...

Lake Conroe...never been there, but would love to visit one day!  I'm in Austin and the market has slowed a bit but everyone is hopeful that we will burn through some inventory and that there won't be any major layoffs (like Dell).  good luck with Active Rain...

Marcia, Congrats on your first blog. You are one step ahead of me. I hope to start mine very soon. I'm in North Eastern Pa. and the market is moving...slowly, but there are properties trading. Best of luck!

Marcia, welcome to the Rain.  You will find much information on here and I am sure we will gain much from your posts.  Our market is not as bad as some parts of the country, but still not good.  If a home is priced will and maintained, it will sell.  An associate from another broker just sold a home in 5 days.

Marcia:  Welcome to Active Rain... and Congratulations on taking a chance and trying something new.  I don't know if I qualify as being "old" yet... I will be 65 in four weeks... but it is never to late to try something new... or perhaps never too late to try MOST new things.  Phooey on parachuting or snow skiing... LOL.

I would also think that with all that new home experience, that the Conroe/Woodlands area would be a great place for you to be doing business.  Take care... and once again... Welcome to Active Rain !

Hi,

Our market in So Cal is odd! We are bidding higher than the asking price. Banks are pricing too low, as is the short sales. Only way for a seller with equity to get noticed is to price low too...then try and get a bidding war going. We are competing on every deal again...plenty of buyers out there.
