The Solution To All Those Voice Mails - Just Play Phone Tag!

Real Estate Agent with Charles Rutenberg Realty

Light Bulb HeadI love Twitter...  140 Character Conversations- short, sweet and efficient.  I found Phone Tag in a link that @EricaMueller shared one morning and have never looked back.  Phone Tag is a service that transcribes your voice mail to a text message or email.  I know, you want it... don't you.

I fell in love with Phone Tag when I realized that I could respond to callers via email or text even when I was with someone and I didn't want to place a call in front of them.  Instant gratification and immediate appreciation for the caller when you acknowledge them.  It's a Win - Win.

The transcription quality is very precise - If you are interested in seeing your messages for yourself, you can try the service for 30 days for free by selecting this link.

You might just start thinking that you're it too.

Debbie - sound like a great service. I have been using Voice Cloud, which sounds similar, for almost a year and love it. Being able to print out, store and forward hard copies of voice mail messages is very useful. I haven't checked by voice mail once since I started with Voice Cloud. And since I get email on my Blackberry it is easy to read the message, click on the phone number and dial the caller wihtout having to listen to a message or write down all the info. Love it. Gonna check out Phone Tag - thanks for sharing

Interesting and informative.  I am trying to understand the net purpose of twitter.....but it usually takes me about a year to catch on to new tech items, so perhaps I will be learning soon.  Emailing and calling on the phone while being text is enough to pull my hair out at the moment.  Thanks......

Debbie "Phone Tag is a service that transcribes your voice mail to a text message or email" - How cool is that.  This gives me the ability to listen to my messages even when I'm in a meeting or with a client.  I can then choose to respond or not - via email or text.  I love it.  I'm gonna check it out.  Thanks for the info.

Debbie, Thank you so much for posting this, I will love to read a message rather than dial voicemail, wait to connect, wait for the lady to tell me I have a new unheard voice mail that I already know since I'm calling to retrieve it and waste minutes throughout the process several times a day. Thank You again!

TOO. COOL. Thanks for the heads up! I like being able to know what the voicemail says without having to be rude and listen to it in front of them.

Thank you for all the great responses and questions...

There have been a few questions:

  1. I've been using the service for about 2 months - I can't imagine going back to checking my messages, it is worth every penny.
  2. The service is $29.95 per month for unlimited messages - there are also other plans available.
  3. I've only had to listen to 1 message and I couldn't understand what the caller was saying either.

Hi Debbie -

This is what is so cool about AR - - You found something cool and you share it.  I wouldn't have even known to look for a product that does this because I couldn't even imagine that it might be possible - - I have to admit, I am the anti-tech, but this one sounds brilliant even to me.  Thanks.

Hi Debbie; Sounds interesting. But many of my friends and clients do NOT text. I found your blog via TLW's post on how to speed comment!  Can see why just reading your title would not be enough! :)

There's another service that lets you call someone and go straight to voice mail. Their phone doesn't even ring. Just straight to voice mail. It's pretty cool, especially when you need to leave a message with a talkative person but don't have 30 minutes to talk with them about all the doom and gloom in the world.
