Blogging on ActiveRain if you sign up you should blog!

By
Real Estate Agent with Prudential California Realty

I did a count for our office and we have about 35 people out of 100+ people who are registered on ActiveRain.  Out of the 35 only 10(less than) have a score above 700, and 50% of those will not actively post.

What about the 25 people who have lower scores.  I know they don't post, I will wager they have forgotten their password maybe even their user-names.

If you are a registered user

  • you should post.
  • you comment.
  • you should grow your presence on the web
otherwise you wasting an oportunity to earn some advertising presence through the internet.

I think it looks worse if you have not posted because everything is so generic people think you are brand new in the business or you don't know what you are doing or you are out of the business.

Yes indeed you should blog and comment, don't worry about the others, they will be eating your dust as you blog pass them to more customers on the web. Then they will be standing there wondering what happened?

I advocate the inactivation of one's profile if they don't use AR for a period of time (maybe 3 months).   I would also go as far as to delete their profile after 1 year, unless they contribute something....

Essentially, I'd like to see a cleanup of the system to eliminate the non-entities.

Hi David;

I agree with you, I introduced many agents in my office to Active Rain, some are members but need and should blog and comment on other bogs.

David,

It's a shame that so many people who sign up don't take advantage of a great medium that ActiveRain is. This is as good as it gets for Internet marketing and exposure.

Hi David, I totally agree with you.  AR is a great way to make increase one's online presence as well as make connections with some great people out there.  I'm still pretty new at this myself but have learned quite a few things already.  I hope more agents will discover and utilize this valuable resource.

David,

I do agree with you.  Although some people are on here and may not be too active it could be due to a few reasons.  Some people might have signed up to try it out and just did not take the time to learn and explore everything.  I am still new to AR but so far what I have found has been great information.  More people should be active on here.

I think most people only stumble upon Activerain and are never giving the direction or the education on how to really use it. I think if they had been they certainly wouldn't stop posting or commenting, because they would realize that it can be one of the biggest business boosters of their career.
