Smile...have a positive attitude...it's contagious!

This morning it was my day to serve breakfast at the soup kitchen in my community. The morning started off rough....I over slept and was late. My front right tire was low and it was cold and dark outside. I thought about going back in the house and getting in the bed. I came to my senses and hit the road.

As I walked in the door at the soup kitchen, my fellow volunteers all smiled and said "Good Morning, isn't a great morning?"  The happy faces and cheerful attitudes were contagious. As our clients came in to have a hot meal, I continued the trend..... a big smile and a hearty "good morning!" was how I greeted everyone. People smiled back! Before we knew it, the room was filled with smiling people and there was a low buzz of conversation and laughter. As people left to go on their way, they were still smiling and wishing us a great day.

I had a great day!

Smile...have a positive attitude...it's contagious!

Itr really does work.  The movie "Pass It Forward" talks about doing  positive things that then multiply as the receivers feel the motivation to do something positive for someone else out of gratitude. Passing a smile on sure makes the day brighter.  It sure would be nice to get the whole world to smile. :  )

Pamela, that is great. Smilling is contagious, and service is even more so. ;-)
