Land and Realty Management

The US Forest Service's Land and Realty Management works to secure and protect America's public lands through four main activities:

!. Land Ownership Adjustments are made through land exchanges, purchases, donations, right -of -ways and valuations.

2. Special Use Authorizations and Administration allows use of public lands for generating and transmitting energy resources, communications, commerce, public health and safety, homeland security and land owner's statutory rights.

3. Boundary and Title Management surveys, maintains, records and resolves land ownership cases.

4. Valuation provides for appraisal and consulting services.
