25 and Alive Organization in Independence Ohio Helping Teens Stay Alive!

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Trinity Brecksville Ohio

Every once in a while some truly great community organizations are created and 25 and Alive is one of them! And this year they are celebrating their 10th anniversary!

This is a an organization that brings together  the city, schools, churches, local businesses, teens and parents to help the teens and their parents make healthy, positive decisions to get to the age of 25.

This is their mission statement and messages from their website 25 and alive:

teen boy driving a car"It is the mission of 25 & Alive to promote positive choices for youth and parents, to reduce the occurrences of drinking and driving, experimentation with drugs and alcohol, and to provide support for social issues facing parents and young people."

This is the message for the teens:

"We want you around for your future. We want to see what you'll become. We want to see you succeed. We want to help you. We are:

  • Your Parents
  • Your School
  • Your City
  • Your Pastors
  • Your Future Employers
  • Your Friends"

Isn't this an awesome message for our young people? Isn't this what we ALL want for our chidren?

Barb, this sounds like a really great group.  I look at the kid next door and have to think of all the little daily miracles it's going to take!  He's only eleven, and a wild and crazy cyclist!  We don't even have motorized vehicles yet!

Pat, I know what you mean. We can't talk to our kids enough about defensive driving whether in a car or on a bike, not to mention drinking and driving.

Sounds like a great group...something we really need today.  It's a message that all young people need...that there are people who support and care about them.
