A Big Giant Disappointment.

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with R & D Art

It has taken me a little while to come to grips with yesterday's outcome. After spending the better part of the afternoon and this morning with my therapist, I was told to come to grips with it an move on. Much like they do with all the players. Here is something else that I will come to grips with. The Giants did not beat themselves. We got beat by the Eagles.

If there is one thing that I hate it is the fact that people say, we did not get beat, we beat ourselves. That is the biggest pile of horsecrap that I have heard. Cowboy up and admit that you got best by the other team. It aint about the better team winning, it is about you getting beat, and that is what happen to the Giants.

So, everyone can whine and cry about "THEIR" team losing by beating themselves. I will sit here and await next years season why sulking over the Giants getting beat by the Eagles.

Danny, try living in Ohio and you will know about heartache.  So many years we have come close only to be denied!  Live with last years results and be happy.  We in Ohio besides the 2002 OSU National Champoinship have to go back in professional sports to 1940 something......... Have faith and quit whining!  kidding.  I was rooting for the Giants I did not like the way McNabb picked up the phone on the sidelines.  Very unprofessional!

Giants were a HUGE disappointment yesterday especially Eli.  He and Peyton did not look their best in playoff games.

Hey, this is the first time ever that a FOUR seed is hosting the NFC title game!  Eagles and Cards...I can't stand the Eagles but to be honest, I've always loved watching McNabb play (even while he was at Syracuse).  I do hope he wins one but it's hard not to pull for the Cards who have been so crummy for so long!

LOL - my husband saw a neighbor yesterday and prediced that the Giants would not win.  I think he'll be avoiding our neighbors over the next couple of days so he won't be accused of giving them the "evil eye!"  For the record - we're Giants fans ourselves. . . .

I agree with your therapist - have a little pity party, then move on . . .  ;-)

Danny ~ I was devastated as well.  It's my husband I'm worried about though - he seems to be in extreme denial and has blocked out the whole game!

Danny, the Giants took a cue from Plaxico and kept shooting themselves in the collective foot. They certainly didn't play like defending champions or like they really were motivated to win. But, as painful as this is, I give the Eagles (cringe) credit for playing with more enthusiasm and beating my team. The Eagles clearly deserved to win by virtue of their performance. The Giants? Well, how does next year sound?

LOL Danny - a sports trauma therapist? The Mannings both saw better days and now Coach Dungy has retired - the only thing constant is change - should be an interesting fall season in 09 :)

Sincerely,

Grace

what is it about those manning boys......they just choke in the playoffs (9 times out of 10, lol)

I hated to see the Giants go down......   I'm not much of a gambling person, but I did make a little wager on this one.   Looks like I'll be 'giving' the back rub instead of 'getting' it, lol.
