Free WordPress vs. Hosted Wordpress

By
Mortgage and Lending with Sindeo

I recently had my website redone and they set me up with a free wordpress.com account.  (My first entrance and expsoure to the addictive world of blogging!)

SO, what is the difference between the free account and the hosted account?  Should I switch? It is easier to use?  Does anyone have their wordpress hosted through godaddy?  I purchased a name through them, but don't have them hosting it yet.  I was planning to just forward the domain to my wordpress blog.

I would love any suggestions, feedback, or directions to other resouces!

Thanks!

Hey Ginger, I have been wanting to check out wordpress, and since you wrote about it I will.  I registered both my website (hosted with P2A) and my wifes photography website and it is hosted with godaddy.  Please take into account that if you look at my wifes website you understand we just started it last night and it is nowhere near finished yet.  Thanks for the post I am going to check out wordpress now.  SC

Thank you Maureen.  This is exactly what I needed.  It sounds like I should stay with what I have right now.  I don't see a need to modify the templates or upload different plugins right now, but once I move past being a novice, I might!
