We recently returned from a road trip to Butte Montana.  Approx 1122 miles each way from Fresno.

IT WAS COLD IN BUTTE.

I really enjoyed my time there, only wish I could have stayed longer.

Highlights of the trip:

I took my first walk in ZERO DEGREE weather.  Being a native of California I experienced truly COLD weather for the first time in my life.  The lowest the temperature got was -10.

We went to a hot springs on a sunny day when the temperature was probably around 20 degrees and swam in a pool that was fed by the springs with water temp in the spa at around 104 degrees --- and snow all around. They also had a large indoor pool and spa so you didnt HAVE to go outside.

I visited the jail that Evil Knievel, the bad-boy native of Butte spent a fair share of time in.  It was called the Bastille of Butte and shut down by the Federal Govt in 1971.
