Today the computer scientist and I were wondering why we haven't been getting calls from our computer phone..yes we mainly use AOL AIM® Phoneline and we also use Skype...he uses it more so than myself..for me I hadn't really noticed but to him it was a big deal.

Today we found out that our phone was disconnected...I'm happy I never used it in my on line marketing..but I would use it as a secondary number.

Oh Well Out With The Old....In With The New!

We did some homework and found Google Grand Central..but it looks like you might have to wait...we could only reserve our numbers...maybe because they must be jamming with request and probably people no different from us...Avid AIM® Phoneline users who lost their FREE services!

The main reason we would like Google Grand Central because we know...sooner or later we will have to pay for some type of on line phone service..I know there is a few options out there but I liked the fact it is a google product..and yahoo's is not so bad either!

I used Skype when working on the Makeover2Takeover..I thought is was pretty cool to talk through computers can't say I use it regularly....but for some reason sometimes I just have to get away from the computer..and stretch my legs...and my cell phone gives me that opportunity..to take a walk and talk at the same time!

Bye Bye FREE AIM® Phoneline and hello Google Grand Central!

Hi Midori, I too like to wander when I'm on the phone! Skype is nice but I don't use it that much as I'm afaid I have the camera ON when it shouldn't be (before I brush my hair and tooth)!!

Hi Susie-LOL! I have the same fears..people ask me all the time if I have a web cam..YIKES is all I can say..because when I get home...I love my sweat pants...and I wash that makeup off....I really enjoyed skyping with jeannette especially when she sat in the dark with 3 kids sleeping and chatting at bedtime I would definitely sit in the dark myself! :)

Thanks Midori for letting us know about Google Grand Central. I've never used AIM but have used Skype and other messenger services when available even as video calls. They do save money for my customers and myself especially if they are located overseas... those calls really can add up.

Grand Central is one of the most efficient tools I use, particularly in receiving emails of any messages I receive. They open lines up from time to time, but they have been in 'reserve' mode for a while.

Hope all is well....I havent trolled around in the rain lately.

Silvia-Thanks for commenting I read that the google rates are pretty good and so is yahoo and I can't find that post again to reference it! I don't use yahoo messenger as much as I used to but I am using just about all of googles tools...streamlining...and cost efficiency...
