My #1, All-time, Favouritest, Best Book! What's Yours?

Traveler's Gift Book

Not counting scripture or religious texts, this one book has done more to change and improve my life than any other book that I have read in my 50 years on this planet. Since I first read it 4 years ago, I have given dozens of copies to others as I have found someone facing a difficult challenge in life and from many of their comments, it certainly has helped them too. (Yes, I was on another planet before, but that's a different blog. See photo below. Note confused look).

Here is a quick review:

"The Traveler's Gift" by Andy Andrews:

Certainly one of the most influential books of my adult life.  The story of Michael Ponder, a man who feels that he's lost everything and takes a trip through time to find out just how much he truly has.  On his journey, he is given the gifts of 7 decisions that affect our choices on how we define our lives.  Note:  Also available as "The Young Traveler's Gift", which is written from the perspective of a teenager

Never heard of it but the time travel thing makes me think of a cross between two of Og Mandino's books...

I have too many favorite books to figure out which is my favorite and I don't read much anymore.

I really like your signature. and alter ego photo.  I will have to think about my all time favorite book.  Poem is Desiderata by Max Ehrmann.

Rick, The way you described that book definitely makes me want to read it---and I will!  My all time favorite book is almost an impossible question for me--so many have touched and changed my life!  Definitely need to think about that one...........

I checked out your list too - some of those authors I have read but most on that list I have not read the specific titles. And yes, MREA is a must for anyone in real estate. MREI was great too. Didn't read FLIP yet.

In the novel category, my favorite would be "Olivia and Jai" by Rebecca Ryman, about a British woman and an Indian "half-caste" in British-occupied India.  It is way more intelligent than just another romantic story.

Rick—This is another book I want to read. We can all benefit from reading books that wil have a lasting, positive influence on our lives. As so many others, I can't say which book of the hundreds I've read is my favorite... just too many good ones to choose from! Great post - thanks.
