Top 10 Lessons that I learned in 2008

By
Real Estate Agent

Times are tough - I know.  2008 was a year that I would like to soon forget.  Good, came out of it though.  I learned some valuable lessons that will stick with me well beyond these lean times.  I made a list so that I may never forget the insight that I gained.  I'll share it with you in hopes that you too will be humbled when times are once again fat and plentiful.

In 2008 I learned...

Your forehead will callous up if you continue to bang it against the wall

Your car will not run without gas

People leave food at your door when they find out your in Real estate

Friends stop asking, "hows the market",..., they know!

Focus groups pay cash

Top Ramien is not just for college students anymore

Friends, don't let Friends, go into Real Estate

Everyone has a friend who is "upside down" and needs help selling their house - Good luck!

Banks should not be in the real estate business

And Finally...

If you work at something, and never quit, you will make it!

Moisés,

Thank you for sharing the lessons learned in 2008.  Some of them got me laughing.   I could not agree more with the final lesson.

Great Blog!  I thought that it was just going to be a humerous blog, but you got me at the end!  Great point!

I like the one about asking how the market is, lol.  It is so true.

Gerry, thanks for getting it.  Most were meant to be painfully funny.

Carol, Glad that you got a giggle out of it.  That was my main intent

Tony, always leave them wanting more

Robert, that was the painfully true one.
