Freezing cold!

While much of the nation is hibernating in their homes, steeped in frigid winter temperatures, here in the Raleigh area of North Carolina, we still have many winter days that are comfortable enough for a round of golf.

Trust me, you're not as good as this guy!

In fact, golfing is pretty much a year round sport in the “Triangle” region. There are over 25 public and nearly a dozen private courses just waiting for you to tee off!

We even have a TPC golf course where many professional tournaments are held annually.

Fore!

The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic, named, and in honor of legendary NC State University basketball coach, Jim Valvano, is held annually in the Raleigh suburb of Cary. Notable celebrities who have participated in the past include Stuart Scott and Trey Wingo from ESPN, Aaron and Cam Ward from the NHL, Rick Cerone and Tony Womack from Major League Baseball and many other television and sports luminaries. All proceeds from the tournament go to the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

Whatever your handicap, we have a course for you!

Whatever your handicap is, if you like to play the links, and are thinking of relocating to the Raleigh area, there are hundreds of homes here ranging in price from $200,000 to over $4,000,000 located in golf course communities.

Now hurry up and get here already. We need another player for a our next outing!

Shucks, I am jealous. Nothing like a bracing round of golf to clear out the cobwebs. Tis 8 degrees in Maryland today.

Raleigh & Cary are great areas to live, especially if you like golf! We have 4 seasons- but probably only a few days in the winter that are too cold for golf. Today, being 16 degrees is one of them!  But it's better than the  -16 in the NorthEast!  Great job publicizing this Craig!

Great post about the golf course communities. For some reason, I didn't picture you as a golfer, Craig. I see you more as a 19th hole kinda guy...hee...hee.

Ellie - Truth be told, it's only 14 degrees out here in the Raleigh area today!!! But there were some faithful "duffers" out at the public course nonetheless!

Kristin - Don't worry. That one day in August, when the snow thaws, you'll be able to go out and play!!!

Linda - The crazys were still out playing the links at Knights Play....16 degrees or not!

Scott - Come on down! The first round's on me!

Cecily - See my comment to Scott. I didn't say what the first round would be...golf or drinks!!!
