Why Buy A Resort Home?

When I first started selling resort homes 23 years ago, I often said that anyone would have to be crazy to practice real estate in a resort market.  You're dealing with buyers who don't need to buy and sellers who don't need to sell.  Why on earth would I chose to practice here?

Well the answer is, because there is something about the beauty of some areas that attracts people to it, and makes them want to be a part of it.  It's not the industry or economic opportunity of the area, it's simply its beauty.

I quickly learned that the beauty of the area of Western North Carolina which so appealed to me, also appealed to others and made them want to be a part of it.  That's why they bought real estate in the area.  Simply to have a place to relax with family and friends, and enjoy their surroundings.

Whether it's the mountains, the seashore, or the desert, there are some places that have an indescribable draw to them that defies logic.  A place indeligibly etched in the memory for a lifetime.

That is the reason to buy a Resort Home.
