The annual benefit to underwrite expenses for the 2009 Love Affair Fine Arts Festival is scheduled for 6:30 pm. Saturday, January 31, at the Georgia Agrirama Conference Center. This year's event is titled "A Night of Intrigue on the Orient Express."
Asian-themed food and music will be featured throughout the evening. The feature presentation is a play, "Spirit of the Orient," written and directed by Tifton-Tift County Arts Council board member, Dottie Freeman, featuring local actors.
Ticket holders are able to participate in the silent auction featuring art by some of the Love Affair artists such as Tadashi Torli and Charles Pinkney as well as local artists. The silent auction will offer other items for a variety of interest. The winner of a $1,000 cash raffle will be selected during the event.
The Love Affair Fine Arts Festival is held annually the first Saturday of May in Tifton's beautiful Fulwood Park. If features live stage, musical and dance performances. It is a family fun-filled day with something for everyone and a great weekend to visit Tifton.
Tickets for the evening are now on sale at $150. for each couple or $75. for each single. These can be purchased by calling 229-391-4818. Deadline for ticket reservations is January 23. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased for $10 each.
