COMING SOON, VA AND DC LICENSE!

By
Real Estate Agent with Exit First Realty

Since I live in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the county, I decided to get my real estate license in Virginia and Washington, DC. This will not only give me more opportunities, but it will also increase my knowledge base of the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. I already have a Maryland license.

I was told that I can get a Virginia license by reciprocity and get a Washington, DC license by taking a course in Fair Housing and take the DC law exam. If anyone has their license in all 3 jurisdictions please let me know what you think about this? So far, what has been your experience?

Hi Kathi,

Do you have a team? I cannot imagine how you'd be able to work all those areas by yourself! I know you're in MD and close to DC and VA, but my goodness -- that's a lot of area for one person to cover.

Much success to you as you expand your business!!

All it took for me was 1 client who wanted to go .5 mile across a river from SW DC to Arlington before I knew I had to have all 3 licences.

While I focus in DC - I won't pass a good client up who wants to go a couple miles out of the city.
