Have any tips for FSBO'S?

By
Real Estate Agent with Vangie Berry Signature Realty

I want to start a blog on getting listings from FSBO's and Expireds for those who are getting started in this business. Does anyone have any advice or techniques from success or failures that they have experienced that they would not mind sharing? One of the tips that i would like to suggest is to offer to help them sell their own home with a few marketing tips that they could do on there own. The statistics that i have heard is 80 to 90 percent of For Sale By Owners end up going with a Realtor anyway. This gets you in the door and they will be thankful and call you to list when they realize the hard work involved. For the other 10 to 20 percent that do sell if you help them sell ask them to give your cards to family and friends. When family/friends hear of the work and time it took they will give you a call!

I drop off packages with contracts etc to FSBOs and put a nice little cover letter in with my card. I get great response from them

If you go to the search button, you can find a ton of posts on FSBO's and expireds. Here is a post that I saw from a guy named Borino that I thought was helpful regarding expireds. There is a lot of great info here on AR that other people have so generously shared so we don't have to all reinvent the wheel.
